West Ice Arena is open for public skating and hockey, mini golf, bounce houses, and lawn games.  There are youth and adults hockey leagues as well as curling and broom ball.  For ages three to adult, the Ice Arena hosts figure skating programs.  Ice dancing, lessons through the Breckenridge Skating School, and by annual ice shows are other popular activities at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena.

breckenridge homesThey can also swim or sweat it out at the 69,000 square foot Breckenridge Recreation Center.  Set along the Blue River Bikeway, Breckenridge Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art facility with a long list of programs and activities.  Lap pools and leisure swimming pools, tennis, racquetball, and basketball courts, a rock climbing wall, indoor track, fitness equipment, softball and soccer fields, playgrounds, and a lighted skateboard park are some of the amenities.

Excellent facilities located within Breckenridge city limits are inviting.  Yes, there are over 6000 skiable acres, back bowls, and terrain parks along several mountains in the Ten Mile Range.  The Summit Daily News (3/7/14) just reported Breckenridge as the snowiest ski resort in the nation with 28 feet of snow so far this year.  Vail Resorts announced they will keep Breckenridge Ski Resort open through April 27, 2014!
